KSS School of Clinical Radiology
The KSS Specialty School of Clinical Radiology was set up in 2009 and is led by the Head of School Dr Camilla Sonksen
The School of Radiology is responsible for the recruitment and training of posts based at Brighton and in the near future throughout KSS.
The training year starts in August with full comprehensive training in each of the placements offered. Training in Clinical Radiology is a ‘run through’ process; this means that trainees will be appointed at ST1 and move on through to ST5 for the certified completion of training (CCT). There is no un-coupling of this speciality.
All trainees within KSS will have an Annual Review of Competence Progression (ARCP) in which they need to have met several requirements before progression onto the next stage of their training programme. We aim to ensure smooth running of the Clinical Radiology ARCP by good planning and evaluation from both trainee and trainer point of view.
