The Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine does not have an e-portfolio so for the time being the KSS School of Anaesthesia has produced a ICM STC Educational Training Record (ETR) with Appendices and ICM StR Guide, (which can be downloaded from this page) which has been distributed to every new trainee who starts their training with us instead; mapped to the new 2010 Curricula. Hopefully; if the ETR, appendices and ICM StR Guide is used correctly it will help both the trainee and trainer provide the correct assessments and module sign-offs reflected in the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine curriculum at the end of each Training year.
Complementary Medicine :
- If you are on a complimentary module in Medicine you will need to complete the following assessments: http://www.jrcptb.org.uk/assessment/Pages/WPBA-Documents.aspx and add them to your FICM Educational Training Record.
Complimentary Anaesthesia:
- If you are on a complimentary module in Anaesthetics you will need to register with the RCOA - http://www.rcoa.ac.uk/index.asp?PageID=34
- complete RCOA assessments and then add them to your FICM Educational Training Record. You will be supplied with all the relevant documents on your ICM CD.
e-Logbook
Until the NHS electronic portfolio is fully developed, the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine suggests that trainees use this electronic logbook IBTICM e-logbook to keep record of work done and cases they have been involved with.
