Geriatrics Regional Training Day - 18 April 2012 - Programme |
It is envisaged there will be 10 training days per year, giving trainees the opportunity to run through the complete cycle twice.
Most learning takes place through clinical experience on the wards, and some topics much better learnt through practice. Training days are an adjunct to practical experience, serving to clarify and illuminate the links between theory and practice, while stimulating further learning on the part of the trainees.Each training day will be based around case discussions.
Listed below are the anticipated training days for Geriatric Medicine for Higher Specialty Trainees on the South Coast Rotation. Each training day will be structured to cover objectives listed in the 2010 curriculum.
