KSS GP Educational Awards 2012

The KSS GP Department wishes to continue to recognise individuals who have made an identifiable contribution to postgraduate General Practice education in Kent, Surrey & Sussex, by way of an educational award. There are many hard working and deserving colleagues, GP Trainers, Programme Directors, GP Tutors, Medical Education Managers, Clinical Tutors, Consultants, GP Practice Managers, GP Registrars and many more Individuals who contribute to GP education and this year is no exception. Please take time to think of your colleagues and if you would like to nominate someone for an award, applications should be received in the deanery by Friday 25th November 2011.  

A subcommittee of the GP School Board will select the successful recipients and presentation of the awards will take place at the Annual GP Conference on Thursday 15 March 2012 at The Gatwick Hilton Hotel commencing at 2.00pm.

Tri Badge Awards – 2012 

UKCEA, NAPCE & UKAPD   National Awards

Applications are invited from all Primary Care Educators (Trainers, Tutors, PDs,  Associate Postgraduate Deans) for the Annual National UNU Awards.  Educators who are not medically qualified are also encouraged to apply.

Topics should primarily be any reflections or innovations related to Primary Care Education either pre or post certification.

The submissions should be no more than 3000 words, but other media such as DVD will be accepted with accompanying written summary.

Submissions should be in accordance with the Award protocol UKCEA / NAPCE / UKAPD).  Further details and conditions of the awards are provided on the web link www.ukcea.net

 KSS Deanery process and guidance are be available in the 'downloads' box above. Applications from Kent, Surrey & Sussex based educators should be sent to Sue Smith (ssmith@gpkss.ac.uk) at the KSS Deanery by no later than  Friday 18 May 2012.The KSS Deanery will co-ordinate all applications received and a panel will be set up to choose the best application to go forward to the National Awards Panel in June 2012.
