ARCP / RITA

As a requirement of Higher Specialty Training, it is necessary to undertake an annual review of your progress to ensure movement in to the next stage of your training.

The next ARCP and RITA review is set to take place on the 7th June 2011.

ARCP

The ARCP process is mandatory and must be undertaken at least once a year.  The Panel will be unable to review your progress if you do not have your ePortfolio record up to date or fail to submit the relevant paperwork. This could result in you being prevented from progressing to the next stage of your training.

We will be sending out more detail to you soon. Please note that you may be required to attend in person, and will be given at least six weeks notice of the date of your review. A formal invite will be sent to you if this is the case and you will be asked to confirm attendance.

RITA

The RITA process is mandatory and must be undertaken at least once a year.  The Panel will be unable to review your progress if you fail to attend and submit the relevant paperwork. This could result in you being prevented from progressing to the next stage of your training.

LEADERSHIP ASSESSMENT FORM

Trainees need to complete a Leadership Assessment Formand produce it at their ARCP/RITA. This form can be found in the downloads section of this page.

To enable us to track how trainees are progressing with Clinical Leadership Skills, please also return a copy of your form to the School of Emergency Medicine by post or alternatively email it toemergencymedicine@kssdeanery.ac.uk.

Please note that trainees attending their ARCP/RITA in December 2011 will still need to complete their assessment form by June 2011.
