About Education

The KSS Education Department provides medicine with senior, specialist, creative academic and professional expertise, drawing from mainstream higher education, working directly with our learners and LEPs in their complex, real-life, problematic everyday practice, to improve teaching, learning and patient care.

We aim to enhance KSS’s reputation for excellence by providing a strong academic platform of Master’s degrees, without losing sight of the complexities and uncertainties of real educational practice in clinical settings; by researching, developing and implementing educational programmes to support all clinicians who learn, teach and supervise in KSS; and by gaining a wide audience for our internationally recognised research and publication.

Our approach to teaching and learning is founded in our research-based ‘principled approach to practice and practised approach to principles’ as the fundamental ethical and professional basis of our work.
