About Us
Message from the Head of School
I am delighted to welcome you to the KSS School of Anaesthesia, established in April 2008, dedicated to providing the highest quality of training and clinical experience across a wide range of acute Trusts. We are currently responsible for Core trainees in the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Region, and Intermediate & Higher Specialty Training in the Sussex region.
Our trainees have dedicated Educational Supervisors and locally organised teaching, led by the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCOA) tutor in each Trust, who meets regularly with the Head of School, educational supervisors, fellow tutors and trainee representatives to be updated on the latest developments in training to be an anaesthetist and to ensure that high quality training occurs in every Trust.
We have a very active Education Department in the Deanery, supporting consultants and trainees across our schools in the use of innovative teaching and assessment methods.
Finally, we very much welcome feedback to ensure we continuously improve the experience we offer to current and future trainees. If you would like to give feedback; this can be done by commenting on any of the sites pages or news articles by using Contact Anaesthetics. Alternatively for more specific information you can contact a member of the School Team listed below or anyone who is listed in School Membership.
