Anatomy Days

Dates

10 January 2012: 1:00 – 5:00pm

27 January 2012: 1:00 – 5:00pm

Venue

4th Floor, The Hodgkin Building, Guy’s Campus, London Bridge

The aim of the sessions will be to allow trainees preparing for their part B to practice and learn anatomy from prosections and specimen pots similar to those used in the MRCS exams, followed by a short practice viva at the end of the day.

The sessions will be taught by fellow surgical trainees who have all taught in a full time anatomy demonstrating post for one year, teaching not only medical & dental students but anatomy MSc & BSc students, passed their MRCS at the first attempt and had 2-3 tutorials per week from Professor Harold Elliss.

There will be 5 stations (Thorax, Abdomen, Upper Limb, Lower Limb and Head & Neck) of which trainees can attend 4 over the 2 half days. Each will be about 1.5-2hours, taught by a different demonstrator and  trainees will be asked which they wish to learn prior to attending.

This is a unique opportunity to prepare for the exam and we strongly advise trainees to attend as this may be the only session this year.

If you wish to attend please could you register your interest with (Coresurgery@kssdeanery.ac.uk) and state which 4 topics you wish to cover during your sessions.
